Her work is in private, public and corporate collections around the world, including the Arts Council of Great Britain, the British Council, the Contemporary Arts Society and the Whitworth Art Gallery Manchester. From two recent reviews in Contemporary Visual Arts:“Mali Morris’ intuitive and painterly sensitivities eschew … calculated strategies. Her jewel-like decorative pictures, however simply they present themselves, convey an immediate and deep sense of meditation.”“… there is a silent intensity, all the more mysterious as we realise that what we are experiencing is light more than colour and space as much as forms … she has achieved this economy slowly, through years of intelligent, observant work.”

Ronnie McGrath

Writer, artist, researcher and lecturer,Ronnie McGrath worked in advertising for ten years before returning to education and painting. In 1994 he was commended for his writing by ACER, who again awarded first place for his poetry in 1995. Ronnie is also published in IC3, The Penguin Book of New Black Writing in Britain, and is a founder member of the now defunct musical group, The London Afro-Blok, who performed for the Queen and opened the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Canada. His latest literary work is a book of poems entitled, Poems From the Tired Lips of Newspapers. An experienced painter, Ronnie attempts to marry the language of the ancient world (the Nile Valley region of Egypt) with that of the postmodern. The effect is a highly performative play on both religious and urban iconography. In search of ‘total freedom’ in life and art, Ronnie abandons the tenets of realism, drawing upon the improvisatory nature of a Jazz aesthetic, particularly the works of Sun Ra and Cecil Taylor, thus blurring the distinctions between fact, fiction and reality. Ronnie has exhibited at various sites throughout London, including the Limelight Gallery.
