Rector Succeeds in Brave Attempt  on London Triathlon!

Despite the entreaties of good friends, our Rector Fr.Peter Fellows took part in the London Triathlon to raise funds for the 3rd phase of the Restoration Project due for completion in September.

Fr.Peter completed the entire course in 4hrs 20 mins and the amount raised so far (pr.15th August) is an amazing £4900!

Fr.Peter has led the St.Paul's Marathon Team in the London Marathon for the last 11 years. Always amongst the last few at the finishing line, the St.Paul's team features themed costumes for such things as the Wizard of Oz, Millenium Dome, Thunderbirds etc.

The London Marathon team is a major element in the fundraising campaign for the Children's Summer Holiday Projects - 6 weeks of day-events and activity weeks for children and young people each summer holiday.

Taking part in the Triathlon was a very different challenge for Fr.Peter as he did it solo and for the first time. Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August, saw the Triathlon, which is an exciting swim - bike - run event, taking place close to London's Docklands and just "across the water" from St.Paul's.
